The community Services Department is primarily responsible for the social wellbeing of the community. It comprises the following sections: 

• Library Services; 
• Parks, Verges and Gardens Community Facilities;
• Community Development; 
• Public Safety 
• Fire and Rescue Services and Disaster Management;
• Security Services
• Cemeteries & Crematoria and
• Waste Management
